Compassionministry

Christian Arabs in Israel..are there any?
Many people do not know that there are Arab Christians living in Israel. And we do not mean in the autonomous Palestinian areas but in Israel, especially in the Galilee.
Arabs who have lived in the area for generations.
For centuries before the state of Israel was founded in 1948, these people lived in their villages and towns and came together in their small and sometimes somewhat larger Christian communities.
In 1948 they became Israeli citizens with an Israeli passport. In theory they have the same rights as the Jewish inhabitants of Israel, but unfortunately in practice it turns out to be very different.
Arab Christians live as a minority within a minority. It is even more difficult for Christian Arabs who come from a Muslim family!
There are about 100 of these people in Israel. We would like the story of this forgotten group to become known and that they will experience our support. That the attention of Christians in particular does not only go to the Jewish people, but also to their Arab brothers and sisters.

If you go to Israel, visit them and encourage them. You can get more information from us about the Christian communities in Galilee in particular.

Reason for the foundation to be established.
When we went on a tourist trip to Israel in 2008, we met a young person with whom we developed a strong bond. Through this contact, several deep contacts were made with Arab Christians, including a pastor couple from Haifa, Butros and Remona Ghrayeb.

In the years that followed, one of us has been to Galilee many times, including once a whole month with this couple, and we have really seen from the inside what life in Israel is like for Arabs in general and Christian Arabs in particular, and it has touched our hearts so much that we wanted to do something. Because baking and decorating has always been a hobby, and baking was also done to order, we decided to start a sole proprietorship for these activities.
In addition, a foundation has been established. The proceeds of the sole proprietorship go to the foundation in order to support our Israeli Arab Christian friends and all those who need it so badly.
